Waverly? (Paragraph 30)
(read the highlighted part)
Winston and Vincent most likely stop playing chess with Waverly because
once Waverly began to beat them at chess, they wouldn't play with him.
This question is related to the story "The Rules Of The Game". Let's understand what the story entails.
About "The Rules Of The Game""The Rules Of The Game" tells the story of Waverly who began to beat her brothers in the game of chess. Unlike before, her brothers Winston and Vincent used to beat him her in the game. She learnt the rope and began to beat them in the game.
When her brothers discovered that their sister is winning them in the game of chess, they stopped the game with her. They began to be more interested in roaming the streets after school in their Hopalong Cassidy cowboy hats.

What is the theme for the short film “do geese see god” created by Amazon Theater
Answer:
The film is a metaphor for "the rat race." Get it? That's why the rat imagery appears throughout the film. All over the film. The film is a rant against the rat race. The lesson, therefore, is the more obvious "hey, we need to stop and 'smell the roses.'" I found the film enjoyable, and I accepted the recurring scenes as they were intended: without them, you'd have no film. So I simply didn't let the repetition get to me. I looked for inconsistencies in the images as I watched them again and again; that is, I looked for changes during the recurring events. (No, I didn't see any.) But, again, the rat race metaphor is really very clever, and I didn't understand the rat metaphor (assuming I'm correct) until the film started its second cycle. I did not find the "product placements" to be intrusive -- which I'm sure is what the film makers intended.

Explain why science is the opposite of myth?
Science is the opposite of a myth because science is facts and only facts while a myth can be made up by someone else. What I mean is that science is a systematically organized body of knowledge on a particular subject so it can't be made up while myths can be made up.

Which quotation from the passage best
restates the answer to Part A
Answer:
¿Qué me pasa? ¿Qué estoy haciendo? (cuestionamiento a uno mismo)
¿Qué te iba a decir? (tratando de recordar lo que se iba a decir)

Victor Frankenstein continues recounting the influences that lead to his great experiment:
An accident again changed the current of my ideas. When I was about fifteen years old we had retired to our house near Belrive, when we witnessed a most violent and
terrible thunderstorm. It advanced from behind the mountains of Jura, and the thunder burst at once with frightful loudness from various quarters of the heavens. I
remained, while the storm lasted, watching its progress with curiosity and delight. As I stood at the door, on a sudden I beheld a stream of fire issue from an old and
beautiful oak which stood about twenty yards from our house; and so soon as the dazzling light vanished, the oak had disappeared, and nothing remained but a blasted
stump. When we visited it the next morning, we found the tree shattered in a singular manner. It was not splintered by the shock, but entirely reduced to thin ribbons
of wood. I never beheld anything so utterly destroyed.
Before this I was not unacquainted with the more obvious laws of electricity. On this occasion a man of great research in natural philosophy was with us, and excited by
this catastrophe, he entered on the explanation of a theory which he had formed on the subject of electricity and galvanism, which was at once new and astonishing to
me. All that he said threw greatly into the shade Cornelius Agrippa, Albertus Magnus, and Paracelsus, the lords of my imagination; but by some fatality the overthrow of
these men disinclined me to pursue my accustomed studies. seemed to me as if nothing would or could ever be known. All that had so long engaged my attention
suddenly grew despicable. By one of those caprices of the mind which we are perhaps most subject to in early youth, I at once gave up my former occupations, set
down natural history and all its progeny as a deformed and abortive creation, and entertained the greatest disdain for a would-be science which could never even step
within the threshold of real knowledge. In this mood of mind I betook myself to the mathematics and the branches of study appertaining to that science as being built
upon secure foundations, and so worthy of my consideration.

Select the correct answer.
I just heard about a great event that other cities are putting on, and I think Rockwood should, too. It is called Sunday Parkways, and it is a Sunday in the summer when whole neighborhoods are closed to cars. Only non-motorized vehicles and pedestrians are allowed. In other cities I have seen, people really get into the spirit of it. They play music and wear crazy makeup and costumes, and everyone has a blast, especially the kids. But the best part is that it brings the community closer together. People get to see and talk to their neighbors, and they often make new friends. At the end of the day, people feel energized and happy that they live in such a friendly town. Plus, it contributes to "greening" the city because everyone leaves their cars at home for the day. I think our city council should definitely consider putting on a Rockwood Sunday Parkways event.
Sincerely,
Serena Bhatti
