So I need each form of the word in past tense and I'm struggling. for esample, past tense of ich finde or ihr finde

Answers

Answer:

Explanation:

The simple past tense (Imperfekt) is mostly used in formal and written language, and not so much in spoken language. This means there aren't many tricks, it's mostly pure memorization.

Present Perfect (Perfekt) is the more common form of describing an event in the past, especially when it comes to spoken language. Most Germans will choose to use the Perfekt instead of the Imperfekt. It's much easier, and has some simple tricks. Making you memorize or conjugate in Imperfect is mean and unnecessary.

Fahren (to drive)

The verb also changes a vowel in the simple past tense — from “fahren” to “fuhr”.

Singular

ich fuhr            I traveled, drove, went

du fuhrst    you traveled, drove, went

er/sie/es fuhr    he/she/it traveled, drove, went

Plural

wir fuhren    we traveled, drove, went

ihr fuhrt            you traveled, drove, went

sie fuhren    they traveled, drove, went

Essen (to eat)

ich aß              I ate

du aß(es)t      you ate

er/sie/es aß      he/she/it ate

wir aßen         we ate

ihr aß(e)t        you ate

sie aßen         they ate

Trinken (to drink)

ich         trank              I drank

du         trankst

er/sie/es trank

wir         tranken

ihr         trankt

sie         tranken

Tragen (to wear)

ich      trug                I wore

du         trugst

er/sie/es  trug

wir          trugen

ihr          trugt

sie          trugen

Bringen (to bring)

ich         brachte        I brought

du         brachtest

er/sie/es brachte

wir         brachten

ihr         brachtet

sie         brachten

Finden (to find)

ich         fand            I found

du         fandst

er/sie/es fand

wir         fanden

ihr         fandet

sie         fanden

Gehen (to go)

ich         ging            I went

du         gingst

er/sie/es  ging

wir         gingen

ihr         gingt

sie         gingen

Kommen (to come)

ich           kam            I came

du           kamst

er/sie/es   kam

wir           kamen

ihr           kamt

sie           kamen

Machen (to make)

ich          machte          I made

du          machtest

er/sie/es   machte

wir          machten

ihr          machtet

sie          machten

Glauben (to belive)

ich         glaubte            I believed

wir         glaubten

ihr         glaubtet

sie         glaubten

Fragen (to ask)

ich            fragte              I asked

du          fragtest

er/sie/es  fragte

wir          fragten

ihr          fragtet

sie          fragten

Sein (to be)     This is one of the only conjugations where I use Imperfekt.

ich          war                 I was

du          warst              you were

er/sie/es  war                 he/she/it was

wir          waren             we were

ihr          wart                you were

sie          waren             they were

Haben (to have)

ich         hatte                I had

du         hattest

er/sie/es  hatte

wir         hatten

ihr         hattet

sie         hatten

I can't stress enough that it is crazy your teacher is having you do this, or memorize these. You should be learning the Perfekt, not Imperfekt. 90% of the time, you'll understand the Imperfekt while reading, or if someone addresses you in a formal way, but as a non-native speaker, no German would be offended if you used the Perfekt tense.
