"I just need a break, Mom," Ana replied.
"There may be time for a break later, but algebra needs your attention now," insisted her mother as she turned and headed inside.
With a deep sigh, Ana removed her headphones. She reached for her discarded backpack, wishing she could have just a little unstructured time.

Read the excerpt from Thomas Paine's work "The Crisis" No. 1. Britain, with an army to enforce her tyranny, has declared that she has a right (not only to TAX) but "to BIND us in ALL CASES WHATSOEVER," and if being bound in that manner, is not slavery, then is there not such a thing as slavery upon earth.... ... Neither have I so much of the infidel in me, as to suppose that He has relinquished the government of the world, and given us up to the care of devils, and as I do not, I cannot see on what grounds the king of Britain can look up to heaven for help against us: a common murderer, a highwayman, or a house-breaker, has as good a pretence as he. The words "slavery," "devils," and "murderer" evoke a sense of O -anger and injustice.
-fear and anxiety.
-confusion and chaos.
-guilt and shame.
Answer:
The words "slavery", "devils", and "murderer" evoke a sense of:
A. anger and injustice.
Explanation:
Thomas Paine (1737-1809) was a British writer and political philosopher. Paine supported the American revolution, claiming in his writings that England had no right to subjugate the American colonies.
That is, as a matter of fact, the theme of the passage we are analyzing here. Paine uses words such as "slavery", "devils", and "murderer" in order to convey feelings of anger and injustice. What England wants for itself and America is an owner-slave relationship. In doing so, the king of England is acting in a way that is not appeasing to God, an evil way. The king is, according to Paine, just like a regular thief or murderer.
As we can see, Paine is appealing to the readers' emotion, to their sense of justice, to convey his point. The same way that having one's house broken into by a burglar is enough to make anyone angry, so should be having your country broken into.

What's a good statement for "The boy in the stripped pajamas" Relating to the theme Frendship And Family
Answer:
A good statement on this topic would be "Bruno strives to fulfill his role in the family, but maintains his friendship with Shmuel.
Explanation:
"The boy in the stripped pajamas" was written by John Boyne and portrays the story of Bruno, a German boy who is the son of a high-ranking German general, during World War II. Due to his father's profession, Bruno is forced to move to another city and leave all his friends and memories behind. He hates this change, but understands that it is important for his father's success and for that reason, he strives to adapt to the change and help the family in this time of adjustment.
In this new place, Bruno is faced with the fences of a concentration camp. He doesn't know anything about Nazism, nor about the extermination of Jews, but when he looks at the fence, he notices the presence of a child, very thin and wearing a striped pajamas. This child is Shmuel, a Jewish boy trapped in a concentration camp. Bruno and Shmuel start to be friends, although they can't meet beyond the fence.
One day Bruno's father tells him that he can't keep in touch with the people behind the fence and that they aren't real people. Bruno's father reinforces that it is important for him to stay away from the fences, so as not to cause problems for the family. Bruno is worried that he might cause problems for the family and complies with all the rules imposed on him, except for breaking up his friendship with Shmuel. This attitude of Bruno is the main point of the theme Family and Friendship.
how does dante's inferno develop the his journey through hell as an allegory pof passing through the human digestive tract? discuss
Answer and Explanation:
In "Dante's Inferno" we are introduced to the nine cycles of Hell, which Dante must go through to complete his journey in search of Beatrice, the woman he loves. These cycles of hell are called limbo, lust, gluttony, greed, anger, heresy, violence, fraud and betrayal. As Dante progresses through the cycles, sins become stronger and more destructive.
This entire narrative can be used as an allegory for the human digestive tract. That's because, like Dante's Inferno, the human digestive tract has nine phases that are determined by different organs. These organs are mouth, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, liver and pancreas. When a food enters the human system and passes through the mouth (the first cycle of the digestive tract) it starts a journey of digestion, where as it advances through the cycles it becomes more digested and has the purpose of nourishing the human body.
It is important to point out that an allegory is a figure of language that allows the transmission of meanings between different things, where the meaning of one can be adapted and transmitted to another.

At the peak of the pandemic, our health education teacher arranged an excursion for us. We visited the corona virus isolation unit of the Marymel hospital Aba.
During this excursion, we met several corona virus patients who were displaying different degrees of severity of symptoms. Some people had to use life support machines while others only needed a respirator. There were also patients who displayed only mild symptoms hence they had no need for any of these.
