Identify the states that participated in the slave trade in the years after the ratification of the Constitution.- South Carolina- Georgia- English - American

Answers

South Carolina participated in the slave trade in the years after the ratification of the Constitution. In the United States of America from its creation in 1776 until 1865, mostly in the South, the legal institution of human chattel slavery consisting of the enslavement of mainly Africans and African Americans was commonplace.

Throughout European colonial rule in the Americas, slavery was established. It was used in what would become Britain's colonies, notably the Thirteen Colonies that eventually became the United States, starting in 1526 during the early colonial era.

Enslaved people were considered to be property under the law, which allowed for their purchase, sale, or donation. Up to its abolition, slavery persisted in roughly half of the states of the United States. Through segregation, sharecropping, and convict leasing in the decades following the end of Reconstruction, much of slavery's economic and social functions were maintained.

Explain how the gladiators games satisfied the ruling class’s political purposes.

Answers

The gladiatorial games of ancient Rome served multiple purposes, one of which was to satisfy the political goals of the ruling class. These games were a way for the Roman elites to maintain social control over the masses by providing them with a form of entertainment that kept them occupied and distracted from any potential rebellious thoughts or actions.

The games were also used as a means of reinforcing the power and authority of the ruling class. By sponsoring and organizing these events, the elites demonstrated their wealth, power, and control over the masses. This reinforced the idea that the ruling class was superior to the common people and had the right to rule over them.

In addition to this, the games were often used as a way to cultivate loyalty among the lower classes towards the ruling class. The elites would provide free admission to the games and offer food and other amenities to the spectators. This created a sense of obligation and gratitude towards the ruling class, as the common people felt that their rulers were providing for them and looking out for their welfare.

Finally, the gladiatorial games were also used as a means of propaganda. The games often depicted mythological and historical battles, which reinforced the idea of Roman superiority and justified their conquests and domination of other peoples. They also served as a warning to potential enemies and rebels, showing the brutal consequences of opposing the Roman state.

In summary, the gladiatorial games were an important political tool for the Roman elites, serving as a means of maintaining social control, reinforcing their power and authority, cultivating loyalty among the lower classes, and promoting propaganda.

The development in the early modern period that handed impulses for Europeans to go into the fur trade was the Little Ice Age.

The Little Ice Age was a period of cooling that began in the late sixteenth century and lasted until the mid-nineteenth century. This period of colder temperatures had a significant impact on European husbandry and led to a decline in crop yields, which in turn led to food dearth and increased prices.

Furs were largely valued for their warmth and continuity, and Europeans saw an occasion to benefit from the fur trade by trading with indigenous peoples in North America and Siberia.

a. changes in the weather
b. market equilibrium
c. changes in production costs
d. the amount of money employers pay for inputs

Answers

Unit demand is the amount of a particular good or service that consumers are willing and able to purchase at a given price, during a given period of time. Unit demand can be influenced by a variety of different factors, including changes in the weather, market equilibrium, changes in production costs, and the amount of money employers pay for inputs.

Changes in the weather can impact unit demand in a variety of ways. For example, if the weather is unusually hot or cold, consumers may be more likely to purchase certain items, such as air conditioners or winter coats, in order to stay comfortable.

Market equilibrium is the point at which the quantity of a good that consumers are willing and able to purchase is equal to the quantity that producers are willing and able to produce. Changes in market equilibrium can influence unit demand by affecting the price of the good or service. If the price of a good or service increases, consumers may be less likely to purchase it, resulting in a decrease in unit demand.

Changes in production costs can also influence unit demand. If production costs increase, the price of the good or service may also increase, which could lead to a decrease in unit demand.

The amount of money employers pay for inputs is also a factor that can influence unit demand. If employers pay more for inputs, such as raw materials or labor, they may be forced to increase the price of their goods or services, which could lead to a decrease in unit demand.

He was a leader on the Underground Railroad.

He became a spy for the North during the Civil War.

He sued his enslaver and won the case, setting him free

Answers

A) Nat Turner resisted slavery by organizing a rebellion against white slave masters that left many people dead.

Nat Turner: who was he?

On August 21, 1831, a slave by the name of Nathanial "Nat" Turner (1800–1831) launched a slave insurrection. His conduct may have resulted in the deaths of up to 200 Black people, and it also launched a new wave of strict rules that prohibited enslaved people from congregating, migrating, or attending school.

The uprising also boosted abolitionist and pro-slavery attitudes that persisted in that region up to the American Civil War (1861–65). Turner was raised on a farm in Virginia by Benjamin Turner, who gave him the opportunity to receive a formal education in reading, writing, and religion.

A fiery preacher and leader of African slaves on Benjamin Turner's farm and in his Southampton County neighborhood, he gained notoriety after being sold three times as a child, being hired out to John Travis in the 1820s, and being sold three times as a young child. He insisted that he was the man God had picked to set the captives free.

Louis XVI was compelled by their unity to urge the clergy and aristocracy to join the Third Estate in the National Council in order to create the appearance that he was in charge of the body. This oath was crucial to the Third Estate because it served as a protest that granted the general assembly, and every subsequent governing body, additional authority.  The National Assembly's male members took an oath there promising to continue holding meetings until a constitution was in place.
