The author believes that all young students should learn another language.

Which sentence from the passage best supports this statement?

The Benefits of Study Abroad

The benefits of studying abroad are endless. Often, people think of studying abroad as something that is just for college students. Some teens have the opportunity to study abroad, but there are not as many programs for young people in public schools to study abroad as there should be.
Younger kids who are trying to learn another language will improve their skills so much by actually spending time in a place where people speak the language the kids are studying. The younger someone is, the easier it is to learn another language, and in this global world, being able to speak more than one language is a valuable skill. Think of how much students who are studying French would get out of going to Paris. Students could live with a Parisian family, attend a French school, and eat French food. They could live French culture instead of just reading about it in a book.
Some people may be quick to bring up the topic of money—wouldn't it cost a lot to send a child to study abroad? Not necessarily. There are exchange programs and scholarships available to pay for young adults to have this kind of experience.
Parents who don't want their children gone for an entire school year can relax. Half-year and summer programs are also available. Many schools even offer one- or two-week opportunities, though parents will usually have to pay for those trips out of pocket.
Students who attend immersion schools—schools that teach classes only in the secondary language—can take the final step in becoming fluent when they study abroad. For students who have not had the immersion school experience, study abroad can be a good substitute. Of course, if going abroad is simply not an option for a child, parents should at least have him or her attend an immersion school or take intensive language courses. Parents should not throw away the idea of study abroad for their child until they have looked into all of the options—they might be surprised with what they find.

How does animal signal codes compare with human language in terms of arbitrariness

Answers

Human language has a high level of arbitrariness but this does not occur in animal signal codes.

What is arbitrariness?

In language, this term refers to the lack of connection between one word and the object it represents.

For example, there is no reason why the apple should be "apple" rather than "pear" because the features of the apple do not indicate its name.

How is arbitrariness in animal signal codes?

Animal codes are not usually arbitrary, one example of this is that a code or sound used to attract a potential mate is intense and louder, which means there is a direct relationship between the meaning and the type of code.

What is the difference between a cut and an incision?

a cut is more professional

an incision is more precise

Answers

Answer:

a cut is a wound while an incision is a surgical cut

By definition,

An incision is (according to Miriam-Webster’s dictionary): “a wound made especially in surgery by incising the body”

A cut is (also according to Miriam-Webster’s dictionary): “to penetrate with or as if with an edged instrument”

An incision *is* surgical, while a cut *can* be surgical but also *can* be not surgical.

So the difference between an incision and a cut would be that an incision is more professional and a cut is less professional.

Answer:There is a scatter plot given and we hae to find the tables.

On the x axis, day of fund drive is marked and on y axis money raised is marked.

We find out the points from the graph as Ordered pairs

(1,200) (2,300) (3,200) (4,400) and (5,300)

The above can be represented in table form as

1 2 3 4 5

200 300 200 400 300

With a scatter plot a mark, usually a dot or small circle, represents a single data point. With one mark (point) for every data point a visual distribution of the data can be seen. Depending on how tightly the points cluster together, we can find the relationship between the two variables.

What is Language?

This refers to the way of communication between two or more people by the use of a universally accepted method of linguistics that has meaning.

With this in mind, we can see that the animal signal code is their major way of communication based on the fact that they do not have a language like humans do.

ExplanationA linguagem não é para o ser humano apenas um meio de comunicação: é o horizonte dentro do qual nasce e vive numa cultura. A linguagem é uma potencialidade existente em cada indivíduo.
