Apply your understanding of the Level of Analysis to explicate how the death of Mr. George Floyd can be analysed and explained using the four Levels of Analysis.
The correct answer to this open question is the following.
The death of Mr. George Floyd can be analyzed and explained using the four Levels of Analysis in the following way.
The Individual level.
As a member of society, I have to reflect on what I am doing in order to be part of the solution, not part of the problem. This means that I have to stop the critics, the "Bla Bla" and start to act. No more complaints and I have to make my voice heard to demand the attention of the involved groups in conflict.
The Group level.
We have to feel pain and indignity to witness situations like this that are cruel and divide more the American people. As a group, we can have a much stronger voice to express our concerns and demand solutions, but at the same time showing that we are capable of respect and tolerate other people.
The State level.
Is the government allowing all these divisions and confrontations? Is there a particular political agenda behind these terrible events that hurt the American people and do not resolve the issue of racism in America? Are there any specif actions that are part of a plan or the government is the first that evades its responsibility in these actions?
The System level.
We, as a society, need to seriously review who we are or what we have become to allow tragic moments like the death of an American citizen as was the case of Mr. Geoge Floyd.
Something has to be very bad if we do not awake and express our frustration and put a stop to it. Is there a limit to all of these? Have we -as a society- have crossed it? It seems that sometimes this is irrelevant for an American society that is so used to these incidents and tragedies that they are starting to see this as a normal thing that happens every day in any place of this country.
