how did religion penetrate early american political thought?

Answers

The first organized religions in the US were based on Native American spirituality and religion. Later, as more colonists—like the Puritans—came to escape religious persecution, religion also played a part in the establishment of other colonies.

How does religion factor into politics?

A wide range of topics relating to how religion influences politics are covered under the term "religion in politics." It has been claimed that religion served as the "spring of some of the most extraordinary political mobilizations of our times."

For the early Americans, what purpose did religion serve?

All of the British colonies experienced a substantial Christian religious impact in the early years of what would eventually become the United States. Most of them tried to enforce rigorous religious observance through colony administrations and neighborhood ordinances. The majority made an effort to institute strict religious rituals.

What effect did religion have on colonial expansion in the United States?

Religion played a significant role in the establishment of several of the colonies. Many were founded with the concept of religious freedom in mind. The colonies in New England were founded because the Puritans required a location to practice their religion. The Puritans prohibited others from exercising their right to freedom of religion, particularly atheists.

Political theory that says all power should be held by one individual or authority is called Absolutism.

What is power and authority in political theory?

The allocation and use of power within a society is referred to as politics, and the political institution through which this is done is referred to as a polity. Any civilization must make judgments about how to distribute resources and handle other issues. These decisions are often made by specific individuals and institutions, with the possible exception of the most basic civilizations. Depending on the society, they occasionally take these actions just for their own advantage and other times for the good of society. Whoever wins, a key lesson is that some people and organizations are more powerful than others. We start our discussion of politics with a discussion of power because it is crucial to understanding politics.

Power is the capacity to impose one's will despite opposition from others. When we are driving a car and notice a police car in our rearview mirror, most of us have witnessed an impressive demonstration of raw strength. The driver of that car currently has a lot of control over us. We make sure to adhere strictly to all traffic laws, including the posted speed limit. We halt the automobile if, sadly, the police car's lights are flashing because else we could get into much more trouble. We usually attempt to be as courteous as we can when the police approaches our car and hope we don't get a penalty.

why, according to john green, were europeans suddenly able to extend control over large parts of africa in the late nineteenth century?

Answers

John Green, a popular writer and educator, explains that Europeans were suddenly able to extend their control over large parts of Africa in the late 19th century due to a combination of factors.

These included technological advancements, changes in economic and political systems, and a growing sense of European imperialism and national pride.

Europeans at the time were experiencing significant advances in transportation and communication technologies, which allowed them to travel more easily and efficiently.

Additionally, the Industrial Revolution led to an increased demand for raw materials and markets for finished goods, which made African colonies more valuable to Europeans. This was particularly true for European nations such as Britain, France, and Germany, which were competing for colonies and trade routes.

The late 19th century also saw the emergence of new political and economic systems, including the growth of nation-states and the development of capitalism. This led to a stronger sense of nationalism and a desire to extend control over other countries and peoples, including those in Africa. What was the Kansas Nebraska act?

The Kansas-Nebraska Act was a U.S. federal law passed in 1854 that organized the territories of Kansas and Nebraska and effectively repealed the Missouri Compromise of 1820. The act was a major event in the history of the United States leading up to the American Civil War.

The Kansas-Nebraska Act allowed for the possibility of slavery in the territories, which had previously been prohibited under the Missouri Compromise. This sparked a great deal of controversy, as it effectively overturned a key component of the Compromise of 1850, which had sought to ease tensions over slavery between the North and South. The act led to increased tensions between Northern and Southern states, as it was seen by many as an attempt by pro-slavery interests to expand the institution of slavery into new territories.
