Think about ways you are like the rose. What are the things in your life that can be represented by the concrete?
Answer and Explanation:
This question refers to "The Rose that Grew from Concrete."
Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature's laws wrong, it learned to walk without having feet
Funny it seems, but by keeping it's dreams,
It learned to breathe fresh air.
Long live the rose that grew from the concrete
When no one else even cared!
I will provide a personal answer, but feel free to adapt it to your own reality.
Everyone has adversities to overcome. So, in a sense, we are all the rose that grows from concrete. I am no exception. Even though I see myself as blessed, I too have issues and hardships holding me back, trying to prevent my growth. Being a woman is, unfortunately, still one of them. I hope and fight for the day when my gender will not mean I am less worthy of a job or a salary. Lack of money in a world that is fueled by it is tough as well. Still, I go after what I want. I make the money, no matter how little; I save it and, when I finally use it, it is to improve myself, my life, my abilities.
NOTE: In case you are a male or have had other issues in life, here are some ideas:
- having grown up in a violent neighborhood;
- your ethnicity;
- being an immigrant;
- having lost a loved one.

Paragraph 1: similarities
Paragraph 2: differences
I'm not asking for anyone to write the paragraphs for me, I just need help with the similarities and differences to write about, can someone please give me any ideas? and ideas will help, please :(
Also if someone can check my introduction, just to make sure it its written well, or if there are any grammar issues or wrong punctuations
My Introduction Paragraph:
Many students in high school hold a job whether it be in a fast food restaurant, or a grocery store. While some think that having a job is good to have while being in school, some wait till after their education years to work. The amount of teens having a job has gone down since the 1970s. From 1975 the percentage of teens working went from around 75% to 55% in 2014. Both students working and students unemployed share a want to have a great, well provided life; however students who have a job may find it harder to focus on their studies, while students who are unemployed may have a better time focusing on their studies.
For similarities, you could talk about how the stress of school, parents, peer pressure, etc. for differences, you could talk about the parents money, students money, and the difficulty of spare time with friends and siblings? is this helpful?
People may discuss how peer pressure, parental stress, and school-related stress are comparable. Person could discuss financial discrepancies between parents and students as well as the difficulties of finding free time to spend with friends and family.
What is financial discrepancies?Accounting discrepancies are unintentional mistakes in the way financial accounts are presented. Financial statement discrepancies can have a number of different root reasons.
You should also perform regular reconciliations in order to find accounting issues e.g., bank statement reconciliation. When you reconcile your accounts, you compare the numbers in one account to those in another financial record to make sure the balances match (like a bank statement.
Insignificant discrepancies are typically handled by netting off the minor amount on the income statement as "other" or by creating a suspense account on the balance sheet.

In Chapter 1 of The Hobbit, how does the story of the Old Took of Tookland shape the reader's understanding of Bilbo's character
O It explains the hobbits' role as peacekeepers in Middle Earth
It explains why Bilbo has never felt at home in the shire,
O It shows how Bilbo can overcome his family history of cowardice and shame.
O It suggests that adventure is in Bilbo's blood
Answer:
It suggests that adventure is in Bilbo's blood
Explanation:
It explains the hobbits' role as peacekeepers in Middle Earth – is not the correct answer. While Hobbits are seen as peacekeepers in Middle Earth, the part about the Took family does not serve the purpose of explaining this.
It explains why Bilbo has never felt at home in the shire – this is not the correct answer. Bilbo did feel at home in the shire.
It shows how Bilbo can overcome his family history of cowardice and shame. - this is not true. The passage does not suggest Tooks were cowards or shameful people.
It suggests that adventure is in Bilbo's blood – this is the correct answer. It is said in the parts about the Took family how they would sometime go on adventures. This was not really hobbit-like, as Hobbits don’t like turbulent life, therefore it is something specific for the family rather than Bilbo’s kind. This passage gives us an exposition of what is to come, suggesting that Bilbo, as his family, might be prone to adventures and having an exciting life.

Abigail Adams emphasizes that women shouldn't be subject to unrestricted power from their spouses in passage 1, where she asks John Adams to incorporate women's rights in the new Code of Laws. She also emphasizes the need for women to be heard and represented in laws.
In passage 2, John Adams mockingly reacts to Abigail's recommendations by dismissing the notion of altering their "Masculine systems" and claiming that men are in charge and unlikely to relinquish their dominance over women. So the correct option is A and C.

B/ the idea of women organizing a rebellion
C/the claim that in reality, women dominate men
D/ the idea that women, children, and apprentices are all becoming rebellious

John Adams and Abigail Adams wrote more than 1,100 letters to one another from 1762 through 1801. The letters include John's thoughts while serving in various diplomatic roles, as well as Abigail's updates about their family, farm, and news of the Revolution's impact on the Boston area. The following are two of the letters sent between the Adams's during John's participation in the Continental Congress.
Passage 1
excerpt adapted from Letter from Abigail Adams to John Adams, 31 March–5 April 1776
I long to hear that you have declared an independency—and by the way in the new Code of Laws which I suppose it will be necessary for you to make, I desire you would Remember the Ladies, and be more generous and favorable to them than your ancestors. Do not put such unlimited power into the hands of the Husbands. Remember all Men would be tyrants if they could. If particular care and attention is not paid to the Ladies we are determined to foment a Rebellion, and will not hold ourselves bound by any Laws in which we have no voice, or Representation.
That your Sex are Naturally Tyrannical is a Truth so thoroughly established as to admit of no dispute, but such of you as wish to be happy willingly give up the harsh title of Master for the more tender and endearing one of Friend.
Passage 2
excerpt adapted from Letter from John Adams to Abigail Adams, 14 April 1776
As to Declarations of Independency, be patient. Read our Privateering Laws, and our Commercial Laws. What signifies a Word.
As to your extraordinary Code of Laws, I cannot but laugh. We have been told that our Struggle has loosened the bands of Government everywhere. That Children and Apprentices were disobedient—that schools and Colleges were grown turbulent—But your Letter was the first Intimation that another Tribe more numerous and powerful than all the rest were grown discontented. This is rather too coarse a Compliment but you are so saucy, I won't blot it out.
Depend on it, We know better than to repeal our Masculine systems. Although they are in full Force, you know they are little more than Theory. We dare not exert our Power in its full Latitude. We are obliged to go fair, and softly, and in Practice you know We are the subjects . . . I begin to think the Ministry as deep as they are wicked. After stirring up (others) at last they have stimulated thee to demand new Privileges and threaten to rebel.
A jury should be required to reach a majority vote, NOT a unanimous decision on a defendant’s guilt/innocence.
agree or disagree if you agree or disagree explain why
Answer:
Must All Jury Verdicts Be Unanimous?
After both sides in a trial present all of their evidence, the jury goes to a private room with all the evidence and deliberates. The jury then votes on a verdict and presents it to the court. If you've seen television shows or movies that involve the jury process, you may have noticed that, at least some of the time, the jury must be unanimous in its verdict. At the same time, you may have also wondered when unanimous verdicts are required and what happens if a verdict can't be reached.
