What is assignment?

Assignment is defined as a duty that you have been tasked with by a higher authority. The word "assignment" is just the noun form of the verb "to assign," which is used to delegate tasks or jobs to others. It aids teachers in assessing the students' subject knowledge. Assignments greatly broaden students' knowledge bases and help them to build a variety of practical abilities.

Concept maps can be used to measure students' understanding and as a visual teaching tool that you might not otherwise have access to. Finding ways to access students' understanding of abstract, complex topics and to simply record that information is one of the most difficult components of assessment.

Thus, Sally is preparing to create a concept map for her assignment. Flash card is the best idea place in the center of her map. Hence option C is correct.

What are countries at the two opposite extremes in macroeconomic performance?

Answers

Answer:

Recent empirical research has shown that output and GDP per capita in the aftermath of natural disasters are not necessarily lower than before the event. In many cases, both are not significantly affected and, surprisingly, sometimes they are found to respond positively to natural disasters. Here, we propose a novel economic theory that explains these observations. Specifically, we show that GDP is driven above its pre-shock level when natural disasters destroy predominantly durable consumption goods (cars, furniture, etc.). Disasters destroying mainly productive capital, in contrast, are predicted to reduce GDP. Insignificant responses of GDP can be expected when disasters destroy both, durable goods and productive capital. We extend the model by a residential housing sector and show that disasters may also have an insignificant impact on GDP when they destroy residential houses and durable goods. We show that disasters, irrespective of whether their impact on GDP is positive, negative, or insignificant, entail considerable losses of aggregate welfare.

What is excerpt ?

An excerpt is indeed a quotation from that other resource that the author introduces with fresh language in a sentence. This phrase is taken from Thomas Jefferson's 1801 inaugural speech: As he warned his audience, "I may often go wrong by defect of judgement," Jefferson admitted the fallibility of human nature. "I shall frequently err through lack of judgement" is the excerpt.

This is a brief passage from a lengthy work, hence being an excerpt first from Declaration of Independence: "When it comes to necessary for one nation to cut the political ties that have bound them to another, and also to assume among powers of the world," says the philosopher Aristotle. Resilient is the word that best describes Baissac.

IRead the excerpt from Gary Soto’s short story "Like Mexicans.”

My grandmother gave me bad advice and good advice when I was in my early teens. For the bad advice, she said that I should become a barber because they made good money and listened to the radio all day. “Honey, they don’t work como burros,” she would say every time I visited her. She made the sound of donkeys braying. “Like that, honey!” For the good advice, she said that I should marry a Mexican girl. “No Okies, hijo”—she would say— “Look, my son. He marry one and they fight every day about I don’t know what and I don’t know what.” For her, everyone who wasn’t Mexican, black, or Asian were Okies. The French were Okies, the Italians in suits were Okies. . . . she lectured me on the virtues of the Mexican girl.

Answers

Answer:

C). establishing a work of fiction that is based on non-fiction.

Explanation:

As per the question, the complex narrative structure in the given excerpt exemplifies a 'fictional work that is based upon a non-fictional work.' In the beginning, the first-person is narrating the story as reflected by the use of 'I' which is a characteristic of non-fiction while the use of quotation marks to mark the exact words of her grandmother reflecting the characteristic of fiction. Thus, this demonstration displays a non-fictional work is being given the shape of fiction in order to inform and entertain the audience at the same time. Hence, option C is the correct answer.

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

Passage A
When Dorothy stood in the doorway and looked around, she could see nothing but the great gray prairie on every side. Not a tree nor a house broke the broad sweep of flat country that reached to the edge of the sky in all directions. The sun had baked the plowed land into a gray mass, with little cracks running through it. Even the grass
was not green, for the sun had burned the tops of the long blades until they were the same gray color to be seen everywhere. Once the house had been painted, but the sun blistered the paint and the rains washed it away, and now the house was as dull and gray as everything else.

Passage B
The road was smooth and well paved, now, and the country about was beautiful, so that the travelers rejoiced in leaving the forest far behind, and with it the many dangers they had met in its gloomy shades. Once more they could see fences built beside the road; but these were painted green, and when they came to a small house, in which a farmer evidently lived, that also was painted green.
They passed by several of these houses during the afternoon, and sometimes people came to the doors and looked at them as if they would like to ask questions; but no one came near them nor spoke to them because of the great Lion, of which they were very much afraid. The people were all dressed in clothing of lovely emerald-green color and wore peaked hats like those of the Munchkins.
