For which part of a story is tension the most important?
O A Conclusion
O B. Rising action
O C. Falling action
O D. Exposition
Answer:
B, Rising actions
Explanation:
Thsi is the part of the story (near the middle) where the tension builds up, without the tension your story would be pretty boring)
Option B. Rising action is the part of a story tension most important.
Part of a storyA story exists as a narration that a narrator does to tell something about someone or something. The word narration arrives from the Latin word narration or narrative which indicates tell (a story). A narration could contain real facts, characterizations (of people, things, moments, etc.), fictional facts and environments, or anything a writer could imagine.
Narrations have a specific structure that furnishes them with a sequential order that creates them more comfortable to understand both the writer and the reader. Sometimes this structure exists not applied in chronological order in a story, but if someone analyses it carefully it will be at least the three major parts:
The beginning: the approach of the events. Here you will be capable to say what kind of narrator the story has and what will be the primary theme of the narration. The conflict: Here exists the moment when the tension of the narration is very important because what occurs next with the problem presented in this section will describe the next part of the narration. The end: In this part, the conflict includes a resolution (this can be better or worse, but it stands still as a final of the events). The conclusion occurs and the story ends.Thinking in this structural division of the story, the part when tension exists most significant is the conflict due to the relevance that the problem comprises here and in general throughout the story.
Hence, Option B. Rising action is the part of a story tension most important.

Which statement correctly describes the relationship of ideas in this text? The passage of time is signaled by the words "was committed," "he finally convinced," and "samples were distributed." The passage of time is signaled by the words "he finally convinced," "Early results," and "customers became." Cause-and-effect relationships are signaled by the words "however," "he finally convinced," and "customers became." Cause-and-effect relationships are signaled by the words "he finally convinced," "which 'met an unperceived need,'" and "Early results."
Answer:
Cause-and-effect relationships are signaled by the words "he finally convinced," "which 'met an unperceived need,'" and "Early results."
Explanation:
In the excerpt taken from "The Evolution of Useful Things," we can describe the relationship of ideas in the following manner:
B. The passage of time is signaled by the words "he finally convinced," "Early results," and "customers became."
In the excerpt we are analyzing here, there is a clear relationship between the ideas to show the passage of time.Words such as "finally" and "early" are used to do precisely that - show the sequence of events over time.In the passage, we are told how, after some time, Fry was (finally) able to convince the office-supply division to test his product. At first, the (early) results were not promising. But, after distributing samples, the customers became hooked. There is clearly a passage of time between the three events: convincing the division, obtaining results, and then getting customers interested. With that in mind, we can choose letter B as the best option. This is the complete passage:
Fry was committed to his brainchild, however, and he finally convinced an office-supply division of 3M to test-market the product, which "met an unperceived need." Early results were not at all promising, but in those cases where samples were distributed, customers became hooked.
