Piles of laundry, piles of dishes, piles of papers-we've all been there. At times, it can seem as if clutter magically multiplies by itself. However, there are good reasons to clear out the clutter, especially in the workspace. Too much clutter can drain energy, add to stress, and hamper productivity. One study has found that clutter problems are directly linked to procrastination, while others have found that clutter can negatively affect people's mental well-being. To be more successful at work, people should take the time to clean out their clutter and maintain a tidy workspace
O One tip to reduce clutter in the workspace is to only keep out items that are actually needed every day. O Clutter includes mementos that remind people of happy times as well as to-do items waiting to be done O One recent study has found that cluttered, disorderly environments actually help spark creativity and fresh insights 0 Researchers have found that people in cluttered environments have increased levels of the stress hormone cortisol

Write a One Idea, Two Mediums Essay about "The Most Dangerous Game" by Richard Connell
#1
Richard Connell's "The Most Dangerous Game" is a very exciting story of a manhunt. This story made me think about the morality of hunting: Humans are the cleverest creatures on earth, but does it give them a license to kill the other animals and even human beings weaker than themselves? I give below a short summary of the story to set the scene and then I will explore the ethics involved in hunting as a sport. "The Most Dangerous Game" presents the story of a hunter, General
Zaroff, who finds hunting human beings as the most dangerous and fascinating sport. He likes hunting humans because human beings, unlike the other animals, can reason better and so provide a richer thrill for the hunter. He does not think hunting human…show more content…
Our knowledge of ecology also teaches us that by killing animals we may be tampering with the delicate ecosystem and inviting our own destruction.
Human beings are probably the most intelligent creatures on earth. That is why they have a great responsibility of keeping intact the life of the earth. Indiscriminate killing for sport is an uncivilized and anti-intellectual activity, because we should share this world with the other animals and live in harmony with them.

The Most Dangerous Game is a short story about a hunter named Sanger Rainsford who is marooned on an island after accidentally falling off a yacht. The yacht that Rainsford was on was headed towards Rio de Janeiro before he fell off. The crew was looking forward to hunting jaguar along the Amazon river. After Rainford falls, he frantically swims to the nearest island in search of food and shelter. However this deserted island is not an ordinary island. Rainsford discovers that Ivan, a Cossack, who is very large and strong, and General Zaroff, who is an expert hunter, inhabit the island. Rainsford soon realizes that the general uses this island as a hunting ground for human beings as he no longer finds pleasure in hunting animals. The General has developed a game in which he gives humans a chance to run away and hide on his island while he has three days to hunt and kill them. .
The setting of the story begins on a yacht that is traveling near the Amazon River on its way to Rio. The time is just after the Russian Revolution of 1917.
The protagonist in this book is Rainsford. He has to overcome the challenge of being hunted by another man. He has to use his wits, judgment and skills in order to overcome his fear of being killed by the general. Rainsford is also a very good hunter and has written many books on the subject that have been read by the general himself. Rainsford's hunting skills prove to be a necessity on the island.
The conflict in this story is Man vs. Man. Rainsford is competing against the General in order to stay alive. He must fool the general in order to win the game and be returned to his homeland. There is also a man vs. himself conflict in this story because Rainsford must not let his nerves and fears get the better of him during the hunt.
The theme in this story is that "All people are equal." General Zaroff thinks that all people are not equal and that the strong should live off of the weak or poor and benefit from them.

It was awesome, worse than anything the Lord had ever put down on Egypt, and at night, you'd hear the Marines
talking, watching it, yelling, "Get some!" until they grew quiet and someone would say, "Spooky understands." The
nights were very beautiful.
Once in a while, I guess I saw it happen three or four times in all-there would be a secondary explosion, a direct
hit on a supply of NVA ammunition. And at night it was beautiful. Even the incoming was beautiful at night,
beautiful and deeply dreadful.
Nights were when the air and artillery strikes were heaviest because that was when we knew that the NVA was

Answer:
*Improving grades
*Becoming a healthier and better person
*Improve study habit
Explanation:
My life has been so messy lately due to the coronavirus and I find it's been affecting my online school and personal life. There are many ways I can improve this, however.
Throughout this whole pandemic, I haven't been getting the proper sleep and I've barely been eating. This has affected my performance in sports and class. I feel so fatigued and find I never seem to have time for myself. To prevent this from continuing to happen I plan to make time to eat my meals and take breaks after each assignment. If I'm stuggling with homework, don't work on it late into the morning but sleep on it and work on it in the morning.
My grades have also gone down hill since the coronavirus started. I used to be an A student but since have been struggling to even pass my classes. I need to make a schedule and be more prepared. A planner would help me see what I need to get done. It would also help me complete assignements on time so that they aren't late.
One thing I could also improve is my study habits. I am a very lazy person and almost always get sidetracked. I'll be doing my work while listening to music and all of a sudden I'm jamming out, now doing homework. I need to pick a playlist and work on my assignments. When I finish something, then I can take a small snack break, then get back at it.
These are little examples but you need to put them together

Write a topic sentence for your paragraph that will compare the strengths of fiction and nonfiction.
Answer:
Authors choose a genre based on their purpose. Fiction works well for teaching a lesson, as in fables. However, presenting facts and opinions in nonfiction might be a better way to present information. When authors begin to write, they think about what they want the reader to understand or experience. While fiction may be the best genre for storytelling, nonfiction may be the most clear for sharing facts, so both genres have merits.
