Read the excerpt from "Machu Picchu: A City in the Sky.”

The great Incan Empire did not last. In 1530, a Spanish army invaded the Incas’ land. Incas lived in the hidden city of Machu Picchu until the 1550s. They used this city and others in the mountains as hideouts. The Incas left the cities to fight the Spanish soldiers. Then, they returned to wait for another chance to attack. But the bronze and stone spears of the Incas were no match for the guns and cannons of the Spanish. By 1572, Spain had conquered most of the Incan Empire.

what are some similarities between Greek Theatre and modern theatre

Answers

Answer:

Here

Explanation:

Greek theatres the seating was arranged in a semi-circle and curve down into the centre following the natural shape of the hillside. There are many modern theatres which are arranged in this way however many have the whole audience directly opposite the stage like in a cinema

Answer:

greek theatre has greatly influenced modern theatre

Explanation:

some ways that greek theatre and modern theatre are similar is in that both theatres allow space for an orchestra, both actors of the plays use costumes and masks to portray their character, both are communal activities that everyone enjoys, tales from greek theatre are still told and retold in modern theatre, both use a narrator or a chorus, modern theatres still use the circular seating found in greek theatres, and keep the same layout. hope these helped!

In this conversation, Caillou is surprised because Sarah is greeting him in Chinese.

Why is Caillou surprised ?

"Nihao" is a Chinese greeting that means "hello". Caillou is probably not familiar with Chinese, so he is not sure what Sarah is saying.

Caillou and Sarah could then start learning some basic Chinese together. They could learn how to say hello, goodbye, please, thank you, and other common phrases. They could also learn about Chinese culture and history.

Learning Chinese could be a fun and rewarding experience for Caillou. It would help him to learn about another culture and to communicate with people from all over the world.

What is a daguerreotype?

The daguerreotype is a direct-positive process, creating a highly detailed image on a sheet of copper plated with a thin coat of silver without the use of a negative.

The process required great care. The silver-plated copper plate had first to be cleaned and polished until the surface looked like a mirror. Next, the plate was sensitized in a closed box over iodine until it took on a yellow-rose appearance. The plate, held in a lightproof holder, was then transferred to the camera. After exposure to light, the plate was developed over hot mercury until an image appeared. To fix the image, the plate was immersed in a solution of sodium thiosulfate or salt and then toned with gold chloride.

Exposure times for the earliest daguerreotypes ranged from three to fifteen minutes, making the process nearly impractical for portraiture.

Karen is baking two types of raisin bread. One recipe requires 1 cups of posin and the other requires 5 cups of raisins.

Answers

Answer:With a pastry brush, brush all over with a thin layer of the melted butter. Bake the bread in a preheated 350°F oven for 45 to 55 minutes, or until deeply golden brown. Instead of using warm water (as you would with many basic bread recipes), this cinnamon roll recipe calls for warm milk. Start by combining water and yeast in the stand mixer bowl, using a dough hook. Roll into a neat rectangle no wider than the loaf pan you're going to use, and about 18 to 24 inches long. Replies to my comments It was made up of just flour, salt, yeast, and water.
