6. How does the arrangement of atoms in most
solids differ from the arrangement of atoms in
a liquid?

Answers

Answer 1

According to the given statement Atoms in solids vibrate motionless, whereas atoms in fluid move.

Where are atoms found?

Everything, that's correct. Matter includes all liquids, solids, sand, plants, animals, and clouds. The building components of matter are called atoms. All stuff is made up of numerous atoms, like how this house is built of many bricks. Because they are not living entities, atoms don't require food, water, or oxygen, and they can't procreate.

Can you kill an atom?

The law of energy conservation states that matter cannot be generated or destroyed. As a result, an atom could be destroyed or divided into smaller particles. The electron, proton, the neutron are the three fundamental particles that make up an atom.

Answers

If atmospheric pressure is 101.3 KPa and the absolute pressure at the bottom of the tank is 231.3 KPa, the specific gravity of the olive oil is 1.30

How do you calculate the gravity?

To calculate the specific gravity, deduct the absolute pressure at the bottom of the tank (231.3 KPa) from the atmospheric pressure (101.3 KPa). This will give you a ratio of 130KPa, then divide it by the atmospheric pressure which is the specific gravity of olive oil.

Use the formula below:

specific gravity = absolute pressure - atmospheric pressure / atmospheric pressure

Specific gravity = (231.3 KPa - 101.3 KPa) / (101.3 KPa) = 1.30

A box with a weight of 25N sits on the floor. What is the maximum force that could be applied horizontally on the box before it would start to accelerate if the coefficient of friction is 0.40?

Answers

So, we know that The box isn't moving at all. I'm assuming the coefficient they gave you is for static friction. We know that with static friction, the value that we calculate is a maximum value that represents the force we'd have to apply before an object starts moving!

We also know that the box isn't moving vertically. That means that its Y forces must be cancelling out, which means its weight force and its normal force must be equal to each other!

Now we can plug in these values into our static friction equation!

[tex]F_s[/tex] ≤ [tex]F_N[/tex] * μ[tex]_s[/tex]

[tex]F_s[/tex] ≤ (25N) (0.40)

[tex]F_s = 10[/tex]

If a Current Current of strength 3A flows through aresistance of 20 om for 10 minutes,then calculate the amount of heat produced in the resistance.

Answer:

1.08 x 10^5 J

Explanation:

First, apply the formula V = IR , where V is the voltage, I is the current and R is the resistance.

R -> 20 ohm (Given)

I -> 3A (Given)

Hence, V = 3 x 20 = 60V (60 volts)

Next, apply the formula E = Pt , where E is the energy produced, P is the power and t is the time in seconds

Furthermore, since P = IV (power = current x voltage)

The formula can be re-expressed as E = VIt

t -> 10 minutes = 600 seconds (don't forget to convert time to seconds!)

Therefore, energy = (60 x 3 x 600) J

What is kinetic energy?

The energy an object has as a result of motion is known as kinetic energy. A force must be applied to an object in order to accelerate it. We must put in effort in order to apply a force.

Since the elastic potential energy that was initially stored in the compressed spring has now been converted into kinetic energy, the system's total energy should be conserved. As a result, the system's kinetic energy increases. As a result, the system's kinetic energy rises.

The magnitude of the two-cart system's net momentum remains constant because there is no outside force acting on it, which implies that the system's overall momentum should be conserved.

if a player kicks a football from ground level with a velocity of 27/ms at an angle of 30 degrees above the horizontal then what is the initial horizantal velocity of the football?

Answers

The initial horizontal velocity of the football if a player kicks a football from ground level with a velocity of 27/ms at an angle of 30 degrees above the horizontal is 23.662 m/s.

To find the initial horizontal velocity (Vx) of the football, you can use the horizontal component of the velocity vector. The horizontal component of velocity is found by multiplying the velocity by the cosine of the angle of launch.

[tex]V_{x}[/tex] = V × cos(angle)

where V is the initial velocity, the angle is the angle of launch (in this case, 30 degrees), and cos is the cosine function.

So, in this case, the initial horizontal velocity of the football would be:

[tex]V_{x}[/tex] = 27 m/s × cos(30)

[tex]V_{x}[/tex] = 27 m/s × 0.866

[tex]V_{x}[/tex] = 23.662 m/s

So the initial horizontal velocity of the football, which moves in the x-direction, is approximately 23.662 m/s.

This means the football will move 23.662 m/s in x direction initially and if no air resistance acts upon the football, it will move at the same velocity in x direction throughout the motion.

b. The time it takes for the ball to hit the ground can be found through

h = ut + 1/2gt²

but u = 0

h = 1/2gt²

Substitute all the necessary parameters

12.5 = 1/2 × 9.8 × t²

12.5 = 4.9t²

t² = 12.5/4.9

t² = 2.55

t = √2.55

t = 1.6 s

Therefore, the final velocity when the ball hits the ground is 15.65 m/s and the time it takes for the ball to hit the ground is 1.6 s
