Identify the meanings of the bolded words in the passage based on the context. frankenstein by mary shelley (excerpt) i do not ever remember to have trembled at a tale of superstition, or to have feared the apparition of a spirit. darkness had no effect upon my fancy; and a churchyard was to me merely the receptacle of bodies deprived of life, which, from being the seat of beauty and strength, had become food for the worm. the astonishment which i had at first experienced on this discovery soon gave place to delight and rapture. after so much time spent in painful labour, to arrive at once at the summit of my desires, was the most gratifying consummation of my tolls. but this discovery was so great and overwhelming, that all the steps by which i had been progressively led to it were obliterated, and i beheld only the result. receptacle: consummation: obliterated:

What are the benefits of
preparing female students to enter fields that are largely dominated by men?
Answer:
Purpose Of providing relevant, appropriate education to the female student population, their perceptions as women, and preparedness to work in male-dominated spaces, such as the construction workplace, is essential. The aim of this study, by the Professional Communication Studies and the HIV/AIDS Inclusivity and Change Unit, was to explore whether the students have been appropriately prepared. Design/methodology/approach A qualitative methodology comprising six semi-structured focus groups was conducted with student cohorts in 2016 and 2017. The focus groups were drawn from different courses in 2016 and 2017 and comprised 17 female students between the ages of 20 and 23 years old. Themes were developed by using NVivo for “literal” (Mason, 1996, p. 56) coding before manually coding the data using an interpretive lens. Eight dominant themes emerged from the data, which are discussed in the findings. Findings Responses were that the students perceived that their gender is advantageous to their entering the profession, as there is legislative support but that the challenge remains that they need to prove their worth more than their male counterparts. The curriculum fails to prepare and/or sensitise students to respond to gender-based challenges, some of which they have already experienced during vacation work. Research limitations/implications The sample is drawn from one institution. Whilst the university has a diverse student body, it is not confirmed that the sample groups were reflective of the broad base of women employed in the construction field in South Africa. Social implications The findings were aligned with those from developed countries. Whilst some challenges specific to developing countries were cited, they were not considered to be insurmountable. Originality/value Gender research is an important topic for countries which, like South Africa, have legislated that employment of women in construction be increased but do not underscore gender in curriculum development of construction courses in universities.

i’m doing a argumentative research essay about social work i need a controversial/ argumentative topic that relates to the articles i choose: the grand challenges social workers face due to race/gender/lgbtq community
Answer:
i got you. as a social worker you have to work with with vulnerable people. evidence below.
Explanation:
This field of work will see you interacting with both children and adults on the individual level, who may be facing physical disabilities or mental health issues. Another facet of the job will involve working with the families, teachers, and communities of these vulnerable people. Research conducted by Unison explores these challenges with first-hand accounts, with one social worker describing a time where they had advised a panel that a child should no longer have contact with their mum, and they had to deliver this verdict directly in front of her.Being exposed to these highly emotional situations can lead to compassion fatigue. It can be difficult to remain unaffected by distressing cases, especially when you are dealing with them on a daily basis. Social workers may suffer from depersonalisation, emotional exhaustion and other more easily identifiable symptoms such as headaches.Practicing emotional resilience can help you to handle a crisis and return to a pre-crisis state.
