In light of our budget, the best buy for communicating with our fellow student in the coffee shop would be a smartphone, such as the iPhone 12 Pro Max or the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. Smartphones are convenient, as they are small and portable, and can be used for a variety of tasks. Additionally, they have great features such as a camera and access to cellular data, which makes it easy to communicate with our fellow student.

For the student located two miles away at our school, the best choice would be a tablet, such as the Apple iPad Pro or the Microsoft Surface Pro 7. Tablets are larger and heavier than smartphones, but they offer more features and can be used for more tasks, such as viewing larger images, streaming videos, and using productivity apps. Additionally, tablets have longer battery life and can be used for longer periods of time without needing to be recharged.

When considering the size of device vs. features, it is important to consider how you will be using the device. If you will be using it primarily for communication, such as sending and receiving messages, then a smartphone would be the better choice.
