Dreams are an iffy topic because we don’t really know too much where they come from. Though, usually dreams happen when you were put into REM stage of sleep, during this time your brain has very high activity that resembles the same waves as when you’re awake.

Technically, there is no goal to humanity because all of the goals we think we have are just thoughts and personal goals. The only goal as a species we have though is to repopulate like any other species on this planet.
