Answer 2

An atom that loses electrons has a positive charge and an atom that gains electrons has a  negative charge. Charged atoms are called Anions.

Negatively charged ions are referred to as anions. A charged atom or molecule is an ion. A balanced atom will change into a positively charged cation if one or more of its electrons are lost. A balanced atom will change into a negatively charged anion if it gains one or more electrons.

An atom is known as a when one of its electrons is lost and it gets a positive charge.

An atom will transform into an ion, a positively or negatively charged particle, if it loses or obtains electrons. When one or more electrons are lost, the resulting positively charged ion, known as a cation, has more protons than electrons.

Why were sharecroppers specifically hard hit during the Great Depression?

Answers

Sharecropping is when the owner of certain land rents it out to people and in exchange will ask them for part of the crop they produce. This is beneficial for both the tenant and the renter, as they both are producing crops and ultimately earning money.

During the Great Depression, farmers were doing poorly. Since nobody had money to spare, a lot of crops were not selling. The prices had also dropped because there was an abundance of crops and nobody was buying them. Farmers were also starting to pay for items using installments, along with a lot of people during this time. This is where you pay for a product over a period of time. This caused some farmers to buy a lot of expensive and big products, like farm equipment, with installment plans. Then since they weren't selling crops, they couldn't pay for the items.

With the farmers struggling, they really did not need sharecroppers or helpers on their land anymore. The sharecroppers could not afford to stay there either, as the crops were not selling. A lot of sharecroppers had to leave and try to find work elsewhere.

Use this week's issue of Studies Weekly to help you answer this question. Include the page number and article that helped you find the answer in your response. Explain how some Hindus were polytheistic, while others were monotheistic.

Answers

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Although you do not mention what was your week's issue of Studies Weekly to help you answer this question, we can indeed comment on the reason why some Hindus were polytheistic, while others were monotheistic.

Here we go.

Historians and scholars say that in Hinduism, there is a monotheistic conception of divinity but also a polytheistic pantheon of gods for the following reasons.

There is what we can understand as a monotheistic conception of one god in Hinduism. This concept teaches that there is one great mighty god, Hindus call it Brahman. He is the divine force that created everything. So Hindus believe in this original creative force that gave life to everything.

On the other hand, there is a polytheistic approach to Hinduism in that believes that different deities stem from that great Brahman god. We are talking about deities such as Shiva, Ishvara, Hanuman, Ganesha, Vishnu, Vedi, Krishna, Rama, Durga, and Kali, among many others. Hindu pantheon is extensive.

These many gods represented one aspect of creation and Earth, such as the deity of creation and destruction, a deity for knowledge, a deity of dark, a deity of prosperity, and more.
